Loved everything about this recent visit to Lillie's. Came here with some friends from out of town on a Saturday night a few weeks after Christmas when the crowds had subsided. I couldn't get a hold of anyone over the phone, so poked my head in prior to bringing them here earlier that night to make sure the halls were still decked. Sure enough, they were. I asked the hostess if the bar was first come first serve seating which she confirmed it was, and I let her know I'd be back with some friends. After seeing a comedy show nearby we came in to find the bar was pretty packed. There were a few small bar tables right in the front that were also being occupied, and the hostess was busy getting the last of the late night reservations set. I did a walk through of the bar while my party ordered drinks. I noticed the hostess bringing four of the girls who were occupying the front bar seat tables to their reserved tables in the back, and figured it might be worth asking of those were also allocated for reservations or if we might be able to sit there. While I was patiently waiting, another group of folks swooped in and popped a squat. Just as I was thinking "oh well," the hostess came back, and I figured it might still be worth asking about in case they open back up later. She let me know that those tables were not reservation tables, they were up to her who got seated there, and she promptly bounced those folks out since they didn't ask her. TL;DR - The hostess has the power at Lillie's. Treat her with respect. Once we were seated we had a great time here. Drinks are pricey but strong and well made. This place might have the best sangria I've ever tried. Bartenders are genuinely friendly and informative - they made small talk each time we ordered more rounds and were happy to answer any questions about the over the top Christmas decorations this place has become known for. If you have friends in town during (or especially after) the holidays, bring them here.

One of the most beautifully decorated bars in NYC. Lillies Victorian updates their decor for ever major holiday and season and is sure to put you in the right spirit. Expect this spot to be extra busy if your coming in a group between 5-7pm it might be a challenge to grab a table but might get a last minute seat at the bar if your solo or a pair. The service is quite friendly however a challenge to flag down for a round or the bill. I haven't eaten here in a few years so I will have to return to sample the menu options but the drinks were perfect.

I love how festive Lillie's gets for major holidays. It's super decked out with Christmas decor all over the walls, pieces hanging from the ceiling, moving decor, the works. They were booked until Jan 5th so I decided to walk in early evening on Monday. The hostess told me to come back in 30 minutes. My bf and I browsed the Union Square holiday market then came back and hostess said we can hang out by the bar. It was tough figuring out a good place to be. Eventually we found a seat at the bar but my bf stood the entire time. It was so packed the servers had to ask patrons to create a path for them. There had two drinks on their holiday drink menu. We ordered one, I forget the name- something about jingle bells I think. They toasted a marshmallow in front of us and set it on top of a chocolate wafer. The drink was okay but the marshmallow was delicious haha. They have two old fashions on their menu: smoked cedar and smoked cinnamon. I couldn't decide between the two but we ended up deciding on cinnamon. Not long after, I overhead the gentleman next to us tell his friends that the cedar smoked one is great and he always gets it so I ordered it too. My bf and I both like the cinnamon one more, it's a little sweeter than the cedar one but both are good! Would order again if I came back. Our bartender was pleasant despite how crazy busy it was. It took her awhile to get to us but she was composed through my entire interaction with her. Tip your bartenders more when it's crazy busy! It was a lovely time even though it was really crowded. Drinks are also strong. The holiday decor really sold it for me. This was a must go for the holiday season.

A fun hectic place for drinks. The floor to ceiling decor here is smashingly fantastic. It really brightens the mood while checking out the large beer selection on draft or going through the unique drink offerings. Small bites include truffle fries and a wonderfully delicious artichoke spinach dip. The food is delicious but teeter on the small side. The cocktails are blended perfectly. Depending when you drop in, the place can be crowded, really crowded. It's a nice place to gather but conversations can be difficult on a busy night. Enjoying a meal with friends can be a hit or miss here, but a fun time for drinks.

If you're looking for a great place to feel the spirit of the holidays in NYC, Lillie's Victorian is the place! You will feel like you've been transported to the North Pole with all the great decorations. I was there last Wednesday in the heat of the holidays. And at 4pm this place was hopping. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. We were just in for a quick drink or two and Lillie's did not disappoint ! Our bartender made us some delicious Mezcal Margaritas with a holiday twist. They were scrumptious. The food looked and smelled delicious. I will have to come back for the next seasonal decor and check it out for myself. So much fun! Oh and there's also another location around Times Square. Have fun!

Finally got myself to Lillie's. Been wanting to for a while! First thing first. Make sure you reserve a spot. We got there on a Saturday approximately 2pm and it was pure chaos. There was an issue with our reservation but we got it sorted, thankfully. The place literally looks like Christmas exploded. It was fun! Loved the decor. Would like to see how it's done for all other holidays/seasons. There were no complaints from anyone in our party of 8. I got a salad and it was probably one of the greatest salads I've ever had. I ate everything right down to my last blue cheese crumble. So good. The Winter Sangria was delightful. Full of delicious tropical flavor. Probably one of the best white sangrias I have ever had. Definitely give it a try. My only gripe is that the place is super packed. Very chaotic and almost anxiety inducing. Table on top of tables while patrons hang at the bar causing major traffic blockages. If that is my only gripe, I suppose I should come back during a weekday/off peak hours. Friendly reminder: That salad was bangin'.

Stopped here on a Sunday after brunch, we were told this place decorates for Halloween and other holidays so we were curious to try it out - it was fun! The decor was so cool, it felt like we were in the middle of Halloween season for sure. The drinks are really good and fairly priced. We didn't get any food, but the plates were SO cute I had to take a photo! Service was nice as well. I'd return!
